Job Title:                    Accommodation Assistant

Reports to:                Accommodation Manager – Nora O’Mahony

                                

Scope of Work

To provide Ballygarry Estate Hotel & Spa standards of service to all customers in an attentive and courteous manner in accordance with current legislation.

 

Main Duties:

  1. To ensure 4 star standards of service are achieved at all times.
  2. To perform in a professional and courteous manner with all customers (internal & external).
  3. To offer an in-depth knowledge of accommodation services and hotel services in general.
  4. To ensure all hygiene regulations are adhered to at all times.
  5. To comply with statutory and legal requirements for Health & Safety, Fire, Hygiene and Employment.
  6. To report to duty on time, in the correct uniform and to wear name badge.
  7. To clean all areas to the hotel standards set out in departmental SOP.
  8. To service all guest rooms to hotel standards set out in departmental SOP.
  9. To maintain linen handling procedures.
  10. To handle lost and found items.
  11. To maintain cleaning schedules.
  12. To provide a turndown service.
  13. To inform reception of all room status and report any discrepancies.
  14. To report all maintenance problems to the Accommodation Manager, or in her absence to reception, who will write it in the Maintenance book.
  15. To provide assistance to reception where required.
  16. To attend and participate in hotel meetings and any designated training.

 

You must remain totally flexible in your position and may be required to carry out other tasks as directed by management.
